Molecular Heterogeneous Catalysis in Confined Geometries
Diffraction analysis of complex-structured mesoporous materials
– New project since July 2022 –
In this project we will advance and apply diffraction methods for the precise, reliable and non-invasive characterization of mesoporous materials on length scales from a few angstroms to hundreds of nanometers. Comprehensive scattering models and novel contrast variation techniques for small angle scattering (SAXS & SANS) will be developed, the application of which will provide detailed insights into the nanostructure of pristine, functionalized as well as catalyst-loaded mesoporous materials for molecular heterogeneous catalysis.
