Minisymposium "Catalysis under Confinement"

Seed Funding – Congratulations to Petia Atanasova, Johanna Bruckner, Maria Fyta and Stefan Naumann

Dr. Petia Atanasova, Dr. Johanna Bruckner, Jun. Prof. Maria Fyta and Dr. Stefan Naumann have successfully applied for funding in the first round of the CRC 1333 “Seed Funding” initiative. The results were announced at this year´s status meeting, 01.-03-04. 2019.

The “Seed Funding” initiative of CRC 1333 aims to establish new directions of research within the framework of the CRC 1333. Especially young researchers receive funding. Thereby, they can follow new paths and find out if a new research questions should be investigated further, potentially in the next CRC funding period. The seed funding includes one year of personnel funding for a doctoral researcher plus material expenses.

The funding applications have been reviewed by the CRC board as well as the CRC 1333 external advisory committee  and the following projects can soon begin their work:

Seed 1 – Dr. Petia Atanasova

Synthesis of organic-inorganic microtubes with mesoporous channels and tunable geometry for heterogeneous catalysis

Seed 2 – Jun. Prof. Dr. Maria Fyta

Influence of ionic-liquids and confinement on organometallic catalysts

Seed 3 – Dr. Johanna Bruckner and Dr.

“Isotactic Pluronics” – A tool for the stabilization of micellar phases and advanced mesopore design

Congratulations to all of them and all the best for their research within the new projects!
