Workshop Recap: FAIR Research Data Management – Basics for Chemists

From April 9–10, 2025, the CRC 1333 hosted the two-day workshop, “FAIR Research Data Management: Basics for Chemists,” in collaboration with NFDI4Chem and the University of Stuttgart. The event brought together early-career researchers and chemists interested in developing a strong foundation in research data management (RDM).

Expert instructors  Dr. Annett Schröter from NFDI4Chem and Dr. Benjamin Golub-Overbeck from
The Fair Elephant led the training. Valuable contributions were also made by CRC 1333 Principal Investigator Prof. Jürgen Pleiss and CRC 1333 Data Steward Maximilian Fleck. The instructors addressed local RDM infrastructure, services, and specific challenges relevant to researchers at the University of Stuttgart.
