Thorsten Bach is Professor of  Organic Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich. His research covers a wide range of organic chemistry, from the synthesis of biologically active molecules to detailed kinetic studies of catalytic processes. In the field of catalysis, he is particularly interested in new methods for selective C-H bond activation and enantioselective photochemical reactions. With regard to synthesis, he focuses on natural products with an unusual skeleton and on molecules and the elucidation of their mode of action.

The CRC cordially invites all who are interested to the lecture.
