Lutz Ackermann is Professor of Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry at the University of Göttingen. His research presently concentrates on the following focus areas:
– Chemistry of economical and sustainable organic synthesis
– C-H bond functionalisation
– Ligand design
– Asymmetric catalysis
– Sequential catalysis
– Atom-economical addition reactions
– Efficient syntheses of biologically active compounds
